Program Levels: Step Show Teams can be made up of girls of all levels.
Do adults register? Yes, one adult from each team must register on behalf of their troop. Only select one adult and do not select any girls while attempting to register.
Capacity: 20 Teams (Do not register more than one adult from your team.)
The 2014 DC Step Showcase will be held on March 7, 2015 at Trinity Washington University.
Please note: All step team registrations should be made by the troop leader or another adult. This adult should register herself or himself and will be receiving email communication for the team about the DC Step Showcase. Please only register one adult per team.
Participating in the DC Step Showcase allows girls to practice their creativity and teamwork as they come up with an original step routine to perform in front of a supportive community audience. Past participants have been rewarded for their efforts by having the opportunity to perform their routines at GSCNC-supported events.
Stepping is a very particular form of dance, so teams should make sure they do their research and put together a step-based routine.
Troops will attend a mandatory rehearsal the evening before, and can arrive early on show day to take part in an activity fair where they can get their faces painted, make crafts and learn about other opportunities in Girl Scouting.
